Without a doubt, the hottest show at London fashion week had to have been Christopher Kane. It was a sublime collection that merged erotica with sheer femininity.
The show took place in the colossal wind turbine hall located in the TATE Modern. Trend hunters, celebrities, models and fashion moguls flooded into the hall - leisurely kissing each other on the cheek in true continental style. The press was scurrying around like ants in between the swathes of people sporting this season's must-have by the who’s-hot-right-now. They were all distinctly different to one another in their attire, yet all fell under the same umbrella shielding the title, ‘fashion folk’.
Back to the show, the music starts; soon the first model graced us with her presence, then the next, and so on and so forth, until the catwalk was awash with Christopher Kane’s creations. The colours were a combination of stormy blue, flushed red and virginal white, with the occasional flesh tone peeking through a slashed garment.
As for the designs and fabric, one can only describe it as unison of femininity and erotica. There was no way you could overt your eyes from the display of nude illustrations, intertwined on bodices and encircling the models tiny frames. The sheer fabrics used to create these tantalising and provocative bodies, further ushered us in to look closer at the linier drawings. By now the room was pulling at their collars and wiping their brow. It was fantastic.
After the show, we headed out to see the variety of people who attended. For those in the fashion know, we saw Linda Fargo, the Senior Vice President and Bergdorf Goodman, Salma Hayek (Dusk til Dawn, Frieda), Alexa Chung, architect Dame Zaha Hadid, Downton Abbey star Laura Carmichael, models Yasmine La Bon, Amber Le Bon and Daisy Lowe, huge names and all walking right next to us as we strolled wide-eyed out of the show space.
All of this suggestive attire began to give us some ideas on how we could deliver this style to you. Then we thought, how about incorporating these suggestive flesh tones with our rose gold watch collection. The watches within our collection range from nude and blushing pink, to glorious rose. They perfectly reflect the collection and inspiration of the catwalk. We urge you to discover our Rose Gold Watch Collection
for yourself, and find the perfect watch to reflect the daring style and sheer magnetism that attracted so many to the Christopher Kane A/W 15 show.
