It’s time for the second instalment of Raymond Weil’s Music Special Edition watches. This week we bring you the enigmatic Maestro Guitar.
The word “Maestro” means “Master”, representing an individual who excels in the practice of an art. The Maestro collection draws on this and has been created for a grand personality, a man of means and music, one who seeks excellence without compromise – that is the true Maestro.
Incorporating the guitar into this contemporary design takes expertise and skill - something that Raymond Weil knows only too well, along with a little help from Miloš Karadaglic.
This special edition utilises the houses bespoke RW4200 mechanical automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve, housed in a 39.5mm stainless steel case. The design features include a poised plectrum at the 6 o’clock mark, rosette design on the inner circle, skeleton window and a 6 string motif that circles the dial.
This Swiss made timepiece wouldn't be possible without Raymond Weil’s collaboration with Miloš Karadaglic, an award winning classical guitarist and exclusive Deutsche Grammophon Recording Artist. He is the leading talent in classical Spanish guitar and continues to perform across the globe with numerous high-profile orchestras.
This luxury watch has also been designed to raise awareness and funds for Miloš charity, Mladost Orphanage in Montenegro. The charities aim is to provide a safe place for its residents to benefit from social support, high-quality education and professional non-parental care. The orphanage also cares for up to 160 children aged between 1 month and 18yrs, all from different backgrounds and including those orphaned during the Balkan upheaval.
