Oris Watches

Founded in 1904 by Paul Cattin and Georges Christian, Oris was created in the Swiss town of Hölstein. Here at House of Watches, we have some of the finest Oris watches on the market, even a selection of those featured at the renowned Watches and Wonders, Geneva. Discover our selection of Oris watches online at House of Watches.

It wasn’t until 1925 that Oris produced their very first wristwatch by attaching bracelet buckles to their pocket watches, allowing the pocket watch to become a perfect wristwatch. One of the small amounts of luxury Swiss watch brands that create only mechanical watches, Oris prioritise their craftmanship over everything and fought very hard through the 1930s, 40s, and 50s to achieve their very own in-house movement that is used within all their watches.

The Oris watch collections compromise seven different ranges for you to choose from. The seven collections are Aquis, Divers, ProPilot X, Big Crown, ProPilot, Rectangular, and Artelier, all of which feature mechanical movements that are made in-house at Oris.

One of our favourite latest additions from Oris has to be the ProPilot X Kermit Edition. Many watches have been called a “Kermit” due to their green dials but this Oris takes the name in full light with a collaboration with Kermit the Frog and the Muppets in a very special edition of the ProPilot X Calibre 400.

Featuring a green dial and a date window that features Kermit the Frog on “Kermit Day”, which is the first of every month. This stunning timepiece features the Oris Calibre 400 in-house automatic movement, with a 5-day power reserve to keep you telling the time perfectly for the working week. Independently created by Oris, this movement is the start of new standards for automatic mechanical movements.

Another of Oris’s latest additions is the stunning ProPilot Altimeter, the world's first timepiece to combine a mechanical altimeter with automatic mechanical movement. Also combining two different editions of measurements, with this watch measuring in metres and the other in feet. An altimeter is a device that can measure the distance above sea level and also altitude, usually an important navigation tool used in aircraft or by pilots.

The Oris Aquis is another stunning timepiece that has recently entered our Oris repertoire here at House of Watches. Also featuring the Oris Calibre 400 series, this stunning timepiece also has a brilliant 5-day power reserve. An expansion of the Divers collection from Oris, the Aquis selection of watches is a stunning addition to a watch collection for anyone in need of a high-performance timepiece.
