Official Timekeepers of the Cradley Heathens

House of Watches enters the fast lane as we become the official timekeeper and proud sponsors of the Cradley Heathens; our local speedway team. The Cradley Heathens team manager, Will Pottinger, met with our head of e-commerce this Thursday afternoon in front of T H Baker, Merry Hill, to shake hands and give us a glimpse of the team’s new vests.

Will spoke about the partnership and said, ‘It’s great. We’ve never had any timekeepers before as it’s such a new thing to this sport, but I think that it will be a great association to have.’ As for the team, Will mentioned that ‘it’s been a busy week practicing and trying to get everything ready, but, all in all, I think the lads are ready. In fact, there was a guy with a speed gun on the track yesterday and it clocked Ash doing 62mph down the straight’. So, with our fingers crossed for favourable weather, the House of Watches team made our way to the Ladboke Stadium, Wolverhampton, to cheer on the Cradley Heathens as they kick-started the season this bank holiday Monday. Thankfully, the skies were clear and it seemed all of the practicing had paid off, the race was a huge success, as the Cradley Heathens won with a score of 51 beating Belle Vue Colts by 12 points! With the races now in full swing, we'll be keeping a close eye on what the guys get up to throughout the year and will be gifting a watch to the rider that breaks the track record. And don't think we've forgotten about the fans. If you want to get involved and to be in with a chance of winning some great prizes and tickets to the different meetings, make sure you keep a regular check on our Facebook and Twitter pages for updates on current competitions. And don't forget to keep an eye on the Timekeepers Blog for all of the latest news throughout the season and exclusive interviews with the riders. So good luck Cradley Heathens - let's OMMER ‘UM!
