Gold-coated rings and platinum-plated fittings complete the design, with the Roman numeral XLIII on the cap ring referencing the chapter where Elizabeth Bennet first sees Mr. Darcy’s estate. The cap top features "By a Lady" from the title page of Sense and Sensibility and the Montblanc emblem. This pens silhouette resembles a wax seal stamp, and the clip, shaped like a braided cord with a drawstring, mimics an 1800s 'reticule' bag.
