New Tissot Watches Campaign Highlights Swiss Heritage

Tissot honours its Swiss heritage in 2014 by celebrating the ‘Swissness’ at the heart of the renowned brand’s identity.

Since 1853, Tissot watches have been at the forefront of luxury Swiss watch design and no watch fan would argue with the Tissot signature ‘Innovators by Tradition’. This year, the brand presents a new advertising campaign to highlight the pioneering Swiss craftsmanship that has remained a constant since the story of Tissot began in Le Locle, the watchmaking town in the Jura Mountains.

The global campaign emphasises the Swiss background of Tissot with the logo, which includes the "+" sign as a symbol of the Swiss flag, symbolising quality, tradition and reliability which are all qualities to be discovered in Tissot watches.

Tissot is a member of the Swatch Group, the world’s largest producer and distributor of timepieces, and shares in its Swiss tradition with other watchmakers. However, although the campaign celebrates the brand legacy, it also strives to show Tissot watches as not only Swiss-made but also the product of a multi-specialist purveyor of quality timepieces, whether traditional or technologically advanced.

160 years of expertise as a leading Swiss watchmaker has inspired millions of fans around the world to embrace these watches of affordable luxury. Amongst Tissot’s fanbase are a number of recognisable ambassadors who share the brand’s values and support the brand around the world.

As part of the new campaign, world-famous photographers were invited to capture the essence of the current lineup of watch ambassadors. The results feature actor Huang Xiaoming, race car driver Danica Patrick, International basketball player Tony Parker, and Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone in campaign shots that capture the glamour and talent of these Tissot fans, as well as demonstrating the appeal of particular Tissot watches and collections.
