New In: Henry London Watches
New to House of Watches; The Henry London Collection
New to the industry, Henry London watchesfirst debut their collection at Basel World 2015, fronted by Peers Hardy (the UK’s largest independent watch and gift distributor). It was here where Henry attracted interest from both the UK and international markets on a colossal scale.
The collections concept was created from the purchase of a vintage mid-60s watch found on Portobello Market in London, with the engraving ‘Henry, August 1965’ on the case back (hence the brand's name). One of the brands creators who brought the watch showed it to her partner, he too was captivated with the design and wanted to wear it. Long story short, the couple set about recreating the design which eventually led to a collection of watches named after the different burrows of London, taking inspiration from the mid-sixties aesthetic, these watches also possess a touch of modernity in the design through the use of bold colour.
Another key concept with Henry London watches is that they are all unisex. By utilising the current androgynous trend, these watches are accessible to all genders and age groups. While some colours are more feminine than others, the overall design is altogether neutral, making it entirely down to personal preference and style.
Key features to take note of are the double domed lenses, curved dials and contoured hands giving a vintage touch while the use of bold colours in on-trend hues provides a modern twist to the overall aesthetic.
