Michael Kors at New York Fashion Week
Fashion fans the world over are already looking forward to next season following a stylish display from Michael Kors at New York Fashion Week.
At his recent Fall '14 showcase, the NYC-based fashion designer unveiled his latest brand collections and the fashion grapevine was instantly abuzz with the news of his new season lines.
The fashion brand has grown a global fanbase in recent years with young Hollywood helping to inspire an appetite for the designer's clothes and accessories, including ever-popular Michael Kors watches.
The February show was attended by front row starlets including Blake Lively, Freida Pinto and Rose Byrne, and showcased California-inspired looks that took Kors's East Coast background and gave it a West Coast sensibility.
New Michael Kors watches are embracing a 'vintage glam' look, pairing old world luxury with twenty-first century style and sophistication. Croco leather straps and jewellery inspired bracelets complement pave-set dials and elevated Roman numerals. New textures and colouring unite the retro with the modern, rounding out the 'vintage glam' makeover given to this new collection.
Fashion bible Vogue was one of many style publications to give the collection the thumbs up, stating that the runway show's creations "[brought] the fantasy of fashion into reality."
Kors' designs came to the forefront of fashion following his 2004 stint on TV's 'Project Runway'. Before and since, it is the all-American glamour and clean lines of his collections that have solidified his international success and made Michael Kors watches some of the most desirable ladies timepieces on the market today.
