G-Shock X Matthew Miller
Constantly cultivating positive diversity and capturing the true spirit of the times, G-Shock gets set to unleash their collaboration with menswear designer, Matthew Miller.
This collaboration closely follows Casio’s sponsoring of London Collection: Men (London fashion week for men, held in June), where Miller showcased a unique take on pinstripes for his spring/summer 15 collection.
Young in years, Matthew Miller has already created a distinct style for himself. His penchant for androgynous models and combination of tailoring, and performance fabric with sports detailing, unmistakably make his brand stand out from the crowd.
The new G-Shock, G’Mix utilised the brands shock and water resistant properties, along with Bluetooth technology. This function allows the wearer to connect to a music app and other audible devices, in order to change audible settings and search for nearby songs, plus much more.
The packaging shown is a play on the idea of fast music and fast foods, by combing them both you have a piece of subversive art, as well as a spectacular watch and pair of exclusively designed urban ear headphones. But, be warned there is only a limited amount of 50 being produced and they will only be available in select stores.
The price-point for these one off timepieces is £250 - a reasonable price for a designer piece we think. But don’t be discouraged if you’re late off the mark, or it's slightly out of your price range, house of watches has a vast supply of equally innovative G-Shock watches, including Bluetooth models. View our collection today and remember to keep checking back to the style blog for more updates about your favourite brands.
